Biography
Born in France, Davy and Yoann were raised in a family of musicians, and studied piano and guitar from the age of seven. After finishing school they studied composition and orchestration at the University of Music and Musicology in Tours, and five years later were awarded their Masters degree in musicology, with high distinction. They continued their studies with a second Masters, this time in music publishing, and subsequently moved to Paris to complete a diploma of Film Scoring at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris.
Throughout their studies they composed music for many short films, collaborating with young directors such as Amit Babooa, Lena Perdu, Fred Ruiz and others. Two years in a row, Davy and Yoann were awarded the prize for best score for films made as part of Paris's annual 48 Hour Film Project.
